AboutPower of Connecting

Author: visionSynergy staff

PowerofConnecting belongs to all of us in a broad sense. We especially rely on the "Company of the Committed," men and women around the world who are encouraging Kingdom collaboration and who feed this Web site valuable content. visionSynergy has developed the site and maintains it on behalf of the global "Company of the Committed." Members of the visionSynergy team serve as the technical and editorial advisors of the site.

The Web site will help people realize their dreams for effective Kingdom collaboration and foster the emerging movement of partnerships and networks. It will communicate to both the novice who desires to collaborate on a basic level and the advanced “collaboration expert” who desires to learn more and link with others who are deeply involved in this movement. The Web site will be both a resource / educational tool and facilitator of this movement.

History and Purpose

Over the last two decades, the Church has become aware that “partnerships” – multiple entities working together on a specific goal  larger than what an individual entity can achieve on its own – are effective. These partnerships have formed in North America, North Africa, the Middle East, Asia – in fact, anyplace where God's people are in ministry and mission!

Networks can exponentially leverage the resources that God has given to His Church. By bringing together denominations, churches, mission organizations and specialists in a given field (e.g., mega-city outreach, oral communication of the Gospel, or evangelistic use of the Internet), “best practices” can be shared and additional resources applied in areas of critical need.

This Web site is designed to help the People of God realize their dreams for effective Kingdom collaboration. The site will advance the movement – that is, a movement toward more Kingdom collaboration. It will help guide the development of leveraged networks and the continued development of “Kingdom Partnerships.”

The site seeks to communicate to the uninitiated novice as well as the person or group already deeply involved in various forms of collaboration.
It seeks to be a resource to the whole Body of Christ without bias.

What is visionSynergy's particular message?

In short, visionSynergy's message is one of HOPE that God's people can be connected in effective teams by the power of the Holy Spirit. Here you can find new ways for God’s people to work together. Here people can find valuable information, tools and ways to build relationships in order to develop durable, networks and partnerships to reach your neighborhood and around the world.

We seek to

  1. Provide core, replicable educational resources that will strengthen and extend the global network/partnership movement.
  2. Identify strategic intersections of greatest need and potential ministry leverage.
  3. Serve as catalyst and coach for leaders as they develop high impact strategic evangelism networks for each of these sectors.

visionSynergy is headed by Phill Butler. For 18 years as President of Interdev, Phill helped pioneer the “partnership movement” among nearly one hundred of the world’s major unreached people groups. Now, Phill has associated with Dave Hackett and Bill Sunderland and a small team to focus on advancing network-based collaboration in completely new areas of need and influence. We work to develop networks and partnerships in sectors with extraordinarily high-impact potential for world evangelization, as well as develop training and replication avenues to teach collaboration to a new generation of leaders. Africa has a lot of need in terms of the gospel, and if we are to fight to bring the lost sheep to the flock, we should consider the Muslim dominated area of Afroca, and have trained personales that are schooled with lslamic combact methology. Help save Africa
